Vivid Studios is a creative workspace in Manor house, which was founded by a collective of artists in January 2018. We took over a warehouse floor, previously used as a community centre, and rebuilt the space from the ground up.
Since then we’ve been providing studio space for over 25 artists including painters, illustrators, sign writers, playwrights, photographers, designers, film makers and more. It has a communal space which is used for internal art projects, as a photography studio and to host events for the wider local community. We have hosted play rehearsals, life drawing classes, yoga/gong baths, and we work as a collective to continually generate ideas to invigorate the space. Our agenda is to create a sustainable and collaborative art studio where prices reflect peoples circumstances. It has been our principal since the start that all profits were to be reinvested into the community to allow development and sustainability.
